Sometimes, while I'm at the gym or jogging, I will think to do something and then I completely forget. Today, I was going to write something in red marker and put it above my desk as a form of "magic" to manifest something, I think. But now, I've forgotten what it was and what I wanted to change. Cest la Vie. However, I do remember it was a very good idea and it was something I didn't want to forget. But I didn't think to write it down at that moment. It's frustrating. I may need to go back to the podcast I was listening to and see if something rings a bell.
I'm continuing to read several books, including many about nature spirits and Findhorn, but then I see another book that looks interesting, so I start to read that one. One thing I really "need" to do, for lack of a better word, is to finish what I start to read. I have tried to do this and failed in the past. I love how some authors always post online the books they've completed. I think it's because of the internet. With Archive.org (even with its recent hacking), the public libraries and their online collections and of course great used bookstores, there's simply too much. I think I also "should" read more people that I actually know from my past writing workshops, many of whom are publishing successfully nowadays. I think the latter is the best idea. Start with community and work outwards.
Speaking of community, I am thinking of joining an online forums such as WattPad and Writer's Anonymous. I really dread joining many of these groups as I've always been a "joiner." I was a member of too many playwriting groups in NYC. I can honestly say I don't miss them! But it's a good idea to network and meet some new individuals, so why not? As I'm writing this I remembered what I wanted to remember. It was taught at Findhorn and the podcast I was listening to, The Lord of Spirits . "Do Everything with Love. Love is the most important." I do think that's somehow important, to make sure one's efforts are done with love, and I'll write it on a card now and place it above my desk. Enjoy the end of Daylight Savings Time!
